Located in a European-style village, the resort aims to cater to your every need during your ski vacation. Their location in the heart of the Rocky Mountains provides lots of snow, as well as over 300 days of sunshine annually!
If you’re not convinced its paradise yet, take a few runs on their 1,815 acres of skiable terrain and contemplate why the resort’s slogan is “When you enter the gate, you leave the world behind.”
The mostly intermediate terrain at Beaver Creek has immaculate groomed runs, as well as bowls and terrain parks. Snowmaking covers 605 acres of the terrain, just in case they come up short on their 310 annual inches.
Get up to the 149 runs by taking their two gondolas, ten high-speed quads, two triples, or three double chairlifts. The rest is simple; let the slopes lead you down Beaver Creek’s 4,040 feet of vertical drop.
Beaver Creek takes grooming to another dimension, with machines out working 20 hours a day, seven days a week. Fifty-two machine operators create 776 acres of corduroy a day for a stunning 106,000 acres per season.
They really have the perfect trail for anyone. They have 345 acres of beginner terrain, 776 acres of intermediate terrain and 694 acres of advanced terrain. For gentle, groomed slopes head to Bachelor Gulch, intermediate trails can be found on Larkspur and Rose Bowl, and Grouse Mountain is where to go for steep bumps.
Safety is also part of the deal at Beaver Creek. They have been continually recognized and awarded for their safety efforts, so you can ride and ski without having to worry about infrastructure or reckless skiers. Just relax and have fun!
An annual showshoe race is one of the popular family-friendly activities planned throughout the season. The Birds of Prey Men’s World Cup is another event that draws world-class athletes and spectators from around the world.
Hotels in Beaver Creek are very luxurious and ready to relax you after a long day on the slopes. Visit Beaver Creek Accommodations for a few lodging ideas.
To get up to the slopes, take the ingenious outdoor escalators to the chair lifts. Get around the village using their heated walkways between the shopping areas and lodging facilities.
Warm your hand between runs at one of the communal warming pits and use the open flames again later to make S’mores and watch the fireworks!
Many excellent restaurants make Beaver Creek their home, so an evening out is a mandatory part of your visit. Let the gourmet chefs dazzle your palate with their delicious cuisine to really make the most of your trip to Beaver Creek Ski Resort.
