Nakiska is Calgary’s closest mountain, just a 45-minute drive out of town. This picturesque resort in the Canadian Rockies was the setting for the 1988 winter Olympics and skiers are still today enjoying the world-class slopes.

Powderface Snowboard Park includes the Board Doktor Half Pipe and other features for daredevils and people who like what’s beyond a normal slope.
And Nakiska is always improving- new in 2009/2010 were their Monster Glades, Gold Chair Express Lift plus 40% more snowmaking, trail improvements and renovations in their rental shop and day lodge- all providing a better winter playground for skiers and boarders alike.
When you’ve exhausted yourself on the slopes, Banff and Calgary aren’t too far away, and Kananaskis Village is is just five minutes away from Nakiska Mountain Resort. This picturesque village is full of hotels with Jacuzzis for tired legs, fireplaces for wind-whipped cheeks and restaurants for growling stomachs.
The resort also has a full-service day lodge that is located right off the slopes. Consider them for your next corporate event, ski club outing or family reunion!
