There are a plethora of options, no matter your skill level at Apex, with rolling trails and steeps to challenge even the most daredevil skiers.
The mountain resort has three areas, each with a different challenge. Juniper and Highway 97 are two other great learning trails.
Explore the variety of bowls, gullies, mogul fields, glades and beautiful groomed runs all day and then relax in the village, full of retail shops, restaurants and night life spots. Try to imitate Canada’s 2010 gold winning Olympic hockey team on Apex’s outdoor regulation-size rink after nightfall! Sleigh rides, snowmobile trails, movies, tubing and ice-skating are other fun activities in the village.
Cross country skiers will love the 56 km of scenic trails at the Nickle Plate Nordic Centre and little skiers and boarders can have fun learning at Rippin’ Rascals learn-to-ski/childcare program. Lessons open to children from 18 months to 12 years old.
As with any full-service mountain resort, there are spa services to melt your sore muscles and a variety of yummy restaurants to please the appetite. The Gunbarrel Saloon and the Three:Thirty Grill are two great choices for places to head for a warming après ski cocktail!
