Powder King Mountain Resort receives almost 500 inches (1,250 cm) of pristine powder snow per year. After a statement like that, the rest of the article is pretty much unnecessary.

But in case you’re not packing for a winter getaway yet, I’ll go on.
This Canadian Rockies resort is nestled in the center of Pine Pass, high in the pristine wilderness of Northern British Columbia, and yet just 500 yards from a highway. This far north, you’re pretty much guaranteed to see some of the best snow on Earth!
Come here to experience piles of powder on breathtaking drops and gentle groomed slopes. Powder King is also home to several prestigious winter events, including the Inter-Provincial Freestyles.
Every year, athletes from Whistler, Northern Alberta, Central Alberta and British Columbija all choose Powder King as their home mountain to train, and its not hard to understand why.
For starters, it has an extra-long season. It is open from late November until late April. The daily hours run Thursday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Holiday hours extend the hours to Monday through Wednesday as well (until 3 p.m.).
The resort has 1,475 acres of skiable area and 27 marked runs. One triple chair and two surface lifts service the area. The terrain is classified as 33% novice, 37% intermediate and 30% advanced.
At its base, Powder King sits at 3,000 feet (935 m) and at its summit, it reaches 5,500 feet (1,829 m). The vertical drop within the skiable area is 2,100 feet (640 m).
Powder King has a rental shop, repair shop, apparel shop and a dining room.
To reach Powder King Resort driving, head north of Prince George 195 km. It is at mile 122 of the John Hart Highway, right in Pine Pass.
