Purden Ski Village is central British Columbia’s largest ski area, with over 1,100 vertical feet (335 m) of skiing on beautiful, dry powder snow.
The area has been operating for more than 30 years near Prince George, British Columbia in the Canadian Rockies.
There are 25 runs at Purden, including glade runs and wide, smoothed cruisers. The longest run is Lakeville at 2 miles (3.21 km) long.
The terrain is classified as 20% beginner, 55% intermediate and 25% advanced.
The elevation at the mountain’s lodge is 3,200 feet (975 m), 4,200 feet (1,280 m) at the top of Baker Creek and 4,300 feet (1,311 m) at the top of the yellow chair.
Every year, Purden Ski Village receives an average of 160 inches (400 cm) of snow.
Ski lessons and packages are available at Purden Ski Village. All programs are run by certified instructors for skiers & riders.
The rental shop offers your choice of skis, snowboards and snow blades. Ski boots are available in sizes ranging from from children’s size 5 to adult size 13. You can find the rental shop in the front basement at the lodge. Bring your driver’s licence, birth Certificate, Visa, or MasterCard to leave as security deposit for your equipment.
Half-day rates begin at 12:30 p.m. Seniors (65 and up) and persons with disabilities receive 50% off regular day rates. Group rates are available for 20 or more skiers.
Purden has no landline telephone service, so relys on cellular communications. Occasionally because of weather and cell towers, cellular service is also not available. Call their 24-hour ski phone for the latest recorded message about snow conditions, weather and other general information.
