Jobs in Banff – HI Alpine Hostel Job Seekers Package

Banff National Park, Alberta

Like any town that welcomes a lot of tourists every year, Banff needs a lot of seasonal workers. Generally these workers range between ages 18-30. Because of the ease of working visas for Australians and New Zealanders, a lot of these jobs are taken by the Southern Hemisphere folk with British and Canadians making up most of the other numbers. So where do you start when you get to Banff with no apartment, job or deodorant? The best advice is to go straight to the experienced in one of the most beautiful settings in Banff – the HI Banff Alpine.

The Ice Wall is just one of the cool things you can do while staying in the Banff HI.

Located on beautiful and stunning Tunnel Mountain, it is a little out of the way of town but this is not a problem for two reasons. Firstly, it is one of the nicest spots to live in Banff and also one of the cheaper options. Secondly, you are provided with free public transport so getting around won’t be a problem. Regardless of what season you arrive in Banff, the staff will do their best to hook you up with employment. One example is the Job Seekers Package which gives 2 weeks accommodation, a welcome beverage, direct job info board, one guaranteed interview with a local employer, I hour free internet, free WIFI, personalized voice mail inbox, help printing and faxing and unused nights are refundable. This all costs $322. It is the perfect package to get your feet on the ground so you don’t have to stress too much about having a local phone number, safety deposits, etc immediately and it also gives you the chance to meet some great people.
These rates may change through different seasons so keep an eye on the website or give the staff a call. On the less serious side of things, there is constant entertainment in the hostel bar such as open mike, margarita night, live music, pool competitions and more. Having personally stayed in the cabins just outside the main building, I can highly recommend them to anyone looking for a comfortable stay without paying through the nose. Right outside the door, the beautiful nature of the Rockies and Banff is literally on your doorstep.
