Horseback Riding in Banff and Lake Louise

Banff National Park, Alberta

Since Banff was first developed, it has become an absolute favourite for fans of the horseback. With its dedicated trails, stunning scenery, challenging rides and family friendly atmosphere, it was really made for horse riding. For more than 250 years, the mountain horse has been a huge part of the development of the Rocky Mountains. The family name Brewster is comfortably the most famous in these here parts and six generations later, the Brewster family are still sharing the beauty of the Rockies with tourists and locals alike in Banff and Lake Louise.

There's plenty of time to horse around in the Canadian Rockies.

Unsurprisingly Brewster Mountain Pack Trains is the oldest outfitting company in Alberta and caters to everybody from the individual to groups. There are a few different options to choose from such as the two and four-day horseback pack trips through the truly magnificent Ghost River area right on the border of Banff National Park. As you trot along with your four-legged friend, you are going to see some of the most beautiful scenery as well as unique and timid wildlife.

The sights of the Rockies don’t have to wait until summer to be enjoyed. In winter, Brewster’s have trail rides and sleigh rides in Banff National Park. When you close your eyes and picture the Canadian Rockies in your imagination in winter, this is exactly what you will be expecting. The riding stable in Lake Louise is over a hundred years old and there is something so serene and peaceful that comes from the pure mountain air.
