BANFF NATIONAL PARK—Cycling around Banff National Park and its surrounds is one of the best things you can do on your vacation. The views are spectacular, the air is as fresh as…an air freshener and there are a ton of places that you can stop for enviable photos. However, don’t forget that Banff is in the Rocky Mountains thus a lot of things you might want to see will be uphill. If you are not the most experienced and fit cyclist (or are a bit lazy) renting a moped from BackTrax on Bear Street is your best option.

Renting a moped allows you some great views of Banff.

It costs $26 an hour or $96 for the day and if you are splitting this with your riding partner, it is a very economical and fun way to get around. Stop off at your hotel to pick up an old-school scarf and goggles, make sure the sun is happy in the midst of its blue background and hit the road. Whether you simply want to feel the wind in your face as you drive from coffee shop to hotel in Banff or want a quick way up to Tunnel Mountain lookouts, renting a moped in Banff promises to be one of the most fun things you can possibly do.
