Spring Ski Pass Special for Lake Louise

Banff National Park, Alberta

Never has regular skiing been more affordable. The Lake Louise ski area is still in superb condition despite the unseasonal warmth that Banff and its surrounds have enjoyed in the last few weeks. Nearly all runs are open and as ever, the slopes are so big that it always feels like there is just a sprinkling of people skiing and snowboarding with you. The off-piste options are too many to list and the park is perfect for practicing those tricks and falling gracefully. The beautiful thing about skiing in a place like the Canadian Rockies and Lake Louise in particular is that not only is it some of the best ski and snowboard areas in the world but it is also one of the longest seasons!

The Lake Louise Ski Area has announced a spring season pass special to residents of Western Canada (Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba). Valid from March 14th until closing on Sunday May 2 2010, it offers up to 50 days of superb skiing and snowboarding for as low as $249. A family pass can be bought for $699 so the whole family can get out and enjoy the Spring skiing together.

Though the snow conditions may be better during December and January, it can also be minus four thousand degrees. March and April in particular have a reputation as months that bring late dumps of great snow. Combine this with the piercing blue skies, warm temperatures, the outside decks on slope where you can enjoy a BBQ and a beer and you are looking at paradise. For as little as $249 for 50 days, you are unlikely to come across a better deal for one of the best ski hills in the world in beautiful Lake Louise.
