KAKWA PROVINCIAL PARK, BRITISH COLUMBIA – Canada –  Located approximately 70 km north of McBride in British Columbia. The Kakwa Provincial Park can be accessed from McBride in B.C., Grand Prairie in Alberta, or by air charter. The closest communities, towns and cities are McBride, Prince George and Valemount.

Camping, hiking, and horseback riding are all great outdoor activities to enjoy in this British Columbia provincial park. There are two areas at the south end of Kakwa Lake designated for camping: one for hikers and one for horseback riders. Please be mindful of the lake, as it is a spawning area for rainbow trout. Horses are not allowed in the lake. They would destroy the spawning beds.
