This is a very worthwhile stop, especially if you’re traveling with kids (including grown kids) who love cool construction equipment.

We were driving between Chetwynd and Prince George, and my family took the detour into Mackenzie and see the sights there. My kids went crazy when they saw this huge piece of construction equipment called the “Tree Crusher.”

We asked about it at a local restuarnt, and found out that the tree crushers were used to prepare the reservoir that is now Williston Lake, before the W.A.C. Bennett Dam was built. My boy says he wants to drive one when he grows up!
