Colorado is a great place to take a romantic Rockies vacation. You’ll already be in love with the snow, the ski mountains, the colorful towns, the locals and Colorado’s awesome microbrews, so why not spread the love a little?

Find hot springs romance in Colorado ( photo).

Couples can get massages at Colorado luxury resorts, grab a drink at a cozy restaurant, or warm up in front of a crackling fireplace in a rustic cabin, or take a classic sleigh ride in the mountains.

Here are a few specifics for romantic Colorado vacations:

The idea of the “romantic sleigh ride” is so well known that it’s almost a cliché, but still, there’s a reason for why they’re so popular. Bundle up under some warm blankets and glide through snowy  forests, listening to the the horses’ bells jingling (all the way). Many Rockies resort towns and dude ranches offer sleigh rides, and can be scheduled through a concierge, over the phone or online.

If you’re looking to take your romance to the marriage level, where else but Loveland? This “lovely” town  is hosts the annual Mountaintop Matrimony ceremony every Valentine’s Day.

Hot springs are another classic romantic vacation idea, and Colorado offers plenty of them for you and your partner. You’ll find plenty of great hot springs in Colorado, such as the Dunton Hot Springs in Dolores or The Springs Resort in Pagosa Springs.
