Both the longer days of spring and the shift to daylight savings time mean I get to drive home from work while it’s still light outside. I had been hoping to take a great photo of Mt. Sopris one evening, but it was never right. Cloudless skies, haze, snow, and other types of weather (or lack thereof) were not conducive to a strong image. Until last night, that is.
I pulled over and crossed the road, thinking I might climb down to the new bike path being built along highway 133. Instead I decided to shoot from the shoulder of the road, and crop out most of the field. The polarizing filter really boosted the color saturation and contrast between the clouds and sky.
